Overview
This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit or make a purchase from https://bitaqa.app (the "Site"), or use our mobile app (the "App").
Personal Information we Collect
When you visit the Site or use the App, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the Site, we collect information about the individual web pages or products that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site.
We refer to this automatically-collected information as "Device Information". We collect Device Information using the following technologies:

Additionally when you make a purchase or attempt to make a purchase through the Site, we collect certain information from you, including your name, billing address, shipping address, payment information (including credit card numbers), email address, and phone number. We refer to this information as "Order Information."
When you register a smart business card with us, you may provide us with additional information, such as your name, job title, profile picture, etc. You may provide as much or as little information you want, in order to create a business card that suits your need. We refer to this information as "Card Information".
When we talk about "Personal Information" in this Privacy Policy, we are talking both about Device Information, Order Information and Card Information
How do we Use your Personal Information?
We use the Order Information that we collect generally to fulfill any orders placed through the Site (including processing your payment information, arranging for shipping, and providing you with invoices and/or order confirmations).
Additionally, we use this Order Information to:
- Communicate with you;
- Screen our orders for potential risk or fraud; and
- When in line with the preferences you have shared with us, provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services.
We use the Device Information that we collect to help us screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address), and more generally to improve and optimize our Site (for example, by generating analytics about how our customers browse and interact with the Site, and to assess the success of our marketing and advertising campaigns).
We use the Card Information you provide us with to display your smart business card online, to whoever you have shared your card with.
Sharing your Personal Information
You are free to share the link to your smart business card to anyone, and no one can access your smart business card unless you share it with them.
We do not share your Personal Information with third parties. We use Google Analytics to help us understand how our customers use the Site — you can read more about how Google uses your Personal Information here: https://www.google.com/intl/en/policies/privacy/ . You can also opt-out of Google Analytics here: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout .
Finally, we may also share your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights.
Data Storage
We securely store your data at our data center in Frankfurt, Germany. Data is stored on a secure platform which complies with industry standard data security frameworks, including ISO/IEC 27001:2013 and EU-U.S. and Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield. In addition, your Card Information is stored in the Google Cloud EU-region, in an encrypted environment, to enable your card to be shared quickly, reliably, and all over the world.
Data Retention
Bitaqa will keep your data for as long as you have an account with us. Once you close your account, we will remove your data from our platform by permanently deleting all records associated with you.
Your Rights
We want to make sure you are fully aware of all of your data protection rights. You are entitled to the following:
- The right to access – You have the right to request Bitaqa for copies of your Personal Information.
- The right to rectification – You have the right to change your Card Information, or any other information you believe is inaccurate. You also have the right to request Bitaqa to complete the information you believe is incomplete.
- The right to erasure - You have the right to request that Bitaqa erase your Personal Information.
- The right to restrict processing - You have the right to request that Bitaqa restrict the processing of your Personal Information, under certain conditions.
- The right to object to processing - You have the right to object to Bitaqa’s processing of your Personal Information, under certain conditions.
- The right to data portability - You have the right to request that Bitaqa transfer the data that we have collected to another organization, or directly to you, under certain conditions.
Changes to this Policy
Bitaqa keeps its Privacy Policy under regular review and places any updates on this page.
