What is a Bitaqa smart business card?

A Bitaqa card has two parts; an online card and a physical card. The online card contains all of your contact information, while the physical card typically contains only your name and a logo. When you tap the physical card on the back of a smartphone, your online business card is displayed on the smartphone.

How much does it cost?

You can create as many online cards as you want - this is completely free! If you want a physical card to go along with your online card, we have a lot of options, starting at 40 AED excluding shipping and tax. Corporate customers are eligible for significant discounts when ordering in bulk. Contact us for more details.

Can I update the information on my Bitaqa smart card?

Of course! You can update all the details on your online card at any time through our self-service portal. Changes you make will be applied immediately.

How do Bitaqa cards work?

The physical Bitaqa card has a tiny chip inside it that wirelessly sends information to a smartphone. This technology is called Near Field Communications - or NFC - and it's the same technology you use when making wireless payments through Apply Pay or Google Pay.

Do Bitaqa cards work with my phone?

Yes! Our cards work on all modern iPhone and Android phones. All iPhones models XR and later (September 2018) and about 95% of Android phones can be used with Bitaqa cards to share your contact info. As a backup, Bitaqa cards also have a QR code on the back, which can be scanned by any iPhone or Android. Simply open up the camera and point it at the QR code to reveal your online card.

Can I only share my contact info with other Bitaqa users?

No! Anyone with a smartphone can tap your Bitaqa card or scan the QR code - no app or special software is needed.

What are Bitaqa cards made of?

Our cards are made of durable, waterproof PVC, which can be recycled up to seven times. The chip inside is made of various materials and usually lasts for at minimum of five years. We also have wood and metal options, please contact us for more details.
